Organza Flower Tutorial

Ok my lovelies as promised here is my Tutorial on making Organza flowers.
First I start out with my candle, sharp scissors and synthetic material. (Don't use cotton) Organza works the best. Cut out circles, they don't have to be perfect because when you burn the edges they shrivel up anyway. I usually use 5 to 6 ranging from larger to smaller so that they will easily fit inside each other .
Just hover the edge of the material over the flame. You do not have to touch the flame at all. The heat alone makes the edges melt and curl.

See here how the edge has melted and curled that's the result you are looking for. Continue around the whole circle.
And all your pieces should look something like this.

I use Fabri-Tac to glue mine together. Aren't they so purtty? This material I bought at Joannes Fabric Once Upon a Time when I used to make Tear Bears. I used the material for cute little dresses. This has tiny little pieces of silver stones.
I found this roll of organza ribbon at Joannes Fabric in the dollar section. SCORE! Again I just cut my circles out.
Hover the material over the candle. The heat alone will melt the edges.

I used purple Pearls from Q&Co for the centers.
Your choice of enhancing them are endless.

Helpful hint: Buying some white organza is a fabulous money saver because the color can be altered with Distress Ink or Glimmer Mist to match your project perfectly.
You can't see it very well but in the upper bright pink flower I had cut out circles from white Tulle, melted the edges and placed a few pieces in between the Organza material.
I hope you have enjoyed today's Organza Flower Tutorial and if you are inspired to make some I would give anything to see your project. Thanks for stopping in today. I hope you all have a Sparkling day!!!! Hugs Bonnie :o)

Bonnie, the flowers are stunning! TFS this fab tutorial! I'm definitely going to have to try this out. I luv how you use the candle. I use a lighter to burn the edges of my ribbons to prevent fraying and the lighter always ends up getting so hot so quickly. I will now use a candle instead :o)
