Cooling off Simply Magnolia DT card

Good morning everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful crafty week. Just a little update on my daughter Jenn and baby Annabelle. Annabelle had jaundice so they had to stay in the hospital for a few days longer they were sent home assured Annabelle would be fine. Well when she had her first week check up the jaundice was worse so they were readmitted to a more advanced hospital. They are still there but Annabelle's levels went from 21 down to 15 as of last night which is super. I am so sorry I've not been around in blog land lately and have slacked considerably on my DT responsibilities I've just been worries sick.

For this weeks challenge at Simply Magnolia the theme is pearls and lace. I chose to use this precious Tilda stamp from Magnolia's newest release she's called Waterlily Tilda. I colored her in using my Copic markers. The designer papers are by Pion and I'm starting to freak out because I've only got like 10 12X12 sheets left. I embellished with a pearls strand all around the card. Used flowers by Prima and Recollections and tucked beaded and pearl stamens in the flowers. The gorgeous lace I purchased from a store online and I added a hand assembled stick pin. The iridescent heart charm is from my stash.
I hope you will join us for this week challenge at Simply Magnolia
I look forward to seeing your creations

I colored my images in using Distress inks and added some Rock Candy Crackle and Stickles to the edges of Tilda's frame. The gorgeous designer papers are by Black Market called Let it Bloom. Simply Magnolia DT card and WOW $ Tree haul

Hello my lovelies, I hope you all had a terrific weekend! Our weekend was pretty quiet. Although, I took a ride out to our local $ Tree Store and got a mother load of beautiful high quality paper flowers. They are gorgeous check em out below.

Today we have a new challenge at Simply Magnolia and the theme is Anything Goes. How easy is that? So ink up those lovely Tilda's and join us for this weeks challenge!!!! I look forward to seeing your creations.

Today's card features yet another Tilda yeah! I colored her in using Copic markers and highlighted around her with Liquid Pearls. The gorgeous designer paper is by My Mind's Eye called Jack n Jill. The adorable sentiment is by Autumn Leaves I thought it very appropriate for this image.  I used the Die-Namics dainty lace border sorry it's kind of hidden. I placed a lovely floral pebble below the flowers and that's by Recollection. All of the flowers are by WOC. All of the rhinestones including the circular one around the sentiment at by Queen & Co. Bakers twine is by We R Memory Keepers. I saw a U-Tube video on how to make your own color twine which I'm going to try.

Thank you for stopping by
Have a wonderful day full of smiles

So here is my $ Tree haul I went a little crazy buying them up. I also got some trims and sprays and some cute little birdies that I sometimes incorporate into my projects. These two ladies were eyeballing my card and finally asked what I do with all of them and I replied simply that I'm not crazy I'm a crafter. OMG they cracked up. So if you happen to have a $ Tree Store in your area see if you can get some of these lovelies. I'll probably do a small candy sharing some of these so watch for that.
close up to see the color and quality.

This week at Simply Magnolia challenge the theme is anything goes. I chose to use Strawberry Yummy Tilda which I've been dying to ink up. I colored her in using Copic markers. Flowers by Recollections, Prima and Wild Orchids. The large doily stamp is by Marianne Creatables, they are so beautifully detailed. I added a couple of cute little strawberry buttons and handmade ribbon. Simply Magnolia Love is in the Air

Hurricane Irene is almost upon us so please pray for our safety and that the damages are minimal.
Once again it's another new challenge at Simply Magnolia and this weeks theme is Love is in the air. There are so many Magnolia stamps that are perfect for this theme and I chose Tilda with Peony from the wedding collection. For some reason this Tilda reminds me of the animated movie Beauty and the Beast. The Peony reminds me of Bells magic rose under the glass. I colored Tilda in with Copic markers. The paper is from DCWV. Roses are from Wild Orchids. The butterfly's are from a Martha Stewart punch which I glittered. The heart stamp is also by Magnolia as well as the Heart Swirl die cut.
I hope my card has inspired you to join us for this weeks challenge at Simply Magnolia and I look forward to seeing your creations.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a beautiful day

Simply Magnolia a sketch challenge

Hello all! Gosh I feel so badly that I've not been a very good blogging friend. Seems as though I've been sick off and on for a few weeks. Finally I found out that it's not the flu but a blockage in the intestine. Good grief is that all I thought I was dying. heehee The worst part is I can't eat any solid foods OMG I'm going to wither away. Not fair!!!! No steak EEEEK I'm going through with drawls already. And that's one of the biggest problems is all that red meat that I love. Well it's broth soup, jello and Gatorade for a few days. So enough rambling about my woes and onto the important stuff...

This weeks challenge at Simply Magnolia is a sketch challenge. Unfortunately I didn't follow the sketch oopsi so sorry. And the sketch is so much prettier than my layout too, what the heck was I thinking???
I used Ballerina Tilda and colored her in using Distress Inks. Flowers are by Wild Orchids and the resin flowers are from my stash. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the smaller and larger butterfly's. I tucked a handmade stick pin behind the ribbon and flower. I used the romantic lace Doohicky by Magnolia which I kind of covered up, but you can see a few hearts peeking out. And I finished it off by scattering pearls here and there.
I hope you will join us for this weeks Simply Magnolia sketch challenge. I look forward to seeing your creations using the sketch that I provided below.
