McMahon Five Designs New image and Tutorial

I am very excited to show you today's Easel card that I created using one of McMahon Five Design newest image. I also included a step by step tutorial on how I put it all together.
********************************
Supplies needed:
Card Stock
Designer Paper
Ruler
Scoring Tool
Glue or double sided tape
and your embellishments
******************************
Cut one piece of card stock measuring 6"X 12" and score at 6" and at 9" on the long side. This will be your base.

Take a second piece of card stock and cut measuring 6"X 6". This will be your card topper.

Fold base card stock along the scored lines and it should look like this.

Cut some designer papers to create your card topper. I inked my edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink.

I colored in my lovely image using my beloved Copics and created a frame for her, also inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink.

Here is my completed card topper

I applied double sided tape on the base only where shown. The bottom half of the card topper will attach here.

And should look like this.

Inside bottom of card. Please note that when I embellished the base I added a 3-D embellishment so that when the card is in the open position it will rest against the embellishment and not slide closed. Oh I hope that made sense.

I hope you have enjoyed today's tutorial and that you will give it a try. Please let me know if you do, I'd love to see your creation.

McMahon Five Designs breast cancer Free digi & CARD

My DT sister's at McMahon Five Designs are the most amazing group of women! I have been feeling really down since learning the news of my very dearest friend, Elise was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Many of us have followed Jacque's journey this year with Breast Cancer. We are all affected by this disease in one form or another and we can all do one thing to protect ourselves. SELF EXAMS! It's quick and simple and can save your life.

The M5D girls rallied together this past week to not only cheer up my spirits but to help bring Awareness to such an important issue that affects us all.

To put our efforts in action, we came up with this
FREE Breast Cancer Bear Digital Stamp
BUT
there is one stipulation before you download him.
You have to promise to perform a self exam!
It's on God's Honor System and we know you will
do this for Yourself ...and... your Family!

As an added BONUS, we also came up with a set of 7 Breast Cancer Awareness Images to buy!
100% of PROFITS will go to
Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Breast Cancer Bear Set
Here is the darling card I made with my breast cancer awareness bear digi. I used my Spellbinder die's for the fun frame. I embossed the sentiment which reads "A hug is a great gift one size fits all. It can be given for any occasion and it's easy to exchange." Decorative paper is by K&Co. I embellished with pearls, Swarvorski crystals, Sva pearls, flowers by Prima and stick pins.

We'd love it if you would help us Spread The Word by displaying one of our blinkies or badges on your blog.
Only at McMahon Five Designs

Please remember to CHECK YOURSELF each month. Do it for YOU... Do it for your FAMILY!

And for the blinkies that won't play nice with each other, we have this non-blinkie badge. :)

I live in Boise, Idaho, with my doggie, Chloe, and my cat, Tuxie. I love all types of crafting but now my favorite is papercrafting. My style is quite eclectic from romantic, shabby chic to cute and simple.

I started making cards while I was away from home Christmas 2007 and wanted to do something special for my friends and family. I made a few cards here and there until I started blogging and saw all the beautiful inspiration in blogland and the rest his history. I now love playing with my paper and am completely hooked.
I love butterflies, lavender (actually, herbs in general), cupcakes, hearts, chocolate, and my garden (not necessarily in that order; it depends on the day), oh, and how could I forget, cookies.

"Family"

Hello! I hope everyone had a terrific weekend. Mine was wonderful but very busy. I was able to spend the day with the family on Sunday. And of course I hogged Jameson. hee hee I know I'm so bad. The other grandparents kept coming up to me with high hopes that I would pass him off, ya right as-if! I told them in a fun way that they would have to pry him from my arms.LOL

So with all the craziness going on I was able to make a card. This one is a little different for me as it's my fist "Shutter Card". I hope you like it and that it will inspire you to try one for yourself. It was fun!

My recipe:

Image "Star Light Star Bright" by Stamps Happen. I colored in using Copic markers.
Card Stock papers by DCWV "Garden Party".
Prima flowers and leaves.
I enhanced with Stickles and Glimmer Mist.
Cute little Easter embellies by K& Co.
Prima Crystals which can be found Here as McMahon Five Designs.
Beautiful lace which can also be found at McMahon Five Designs .

Pop over and browse through her store she has amazing stamps, Ohh La-La and the Prima selections are fabulous. Top quality brands at reasonable prices, I promise you won't be disappointed. Check out McMahon Five Designs Here.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
