I can't quite get a grip on the reality of the devastation that happened to the people of Norway. I am so deeply saddened by such a tragic and vicious act of violence. My heart hurts deeply and I can't seems to control the tears that are shed. I will light a candle and my family will be holding a moment of silence in honor of the lives lost. I am reaching out to all of Norway with open arms and embracing you with all of my love. My prayers and sympathy sent from the USA

Good Morning my lovelies! It's time for another challenge at Simply Magnolia and this weeks theme is a color combination. We are looking to see creations with pinks, browns and creams. I chose to use Tilda with Hawaii flower and colored her in using my Distress Inks. The frame is made with Spellbinders Die. I added flowers by Prima, Pataloo and Wild Orchids. I distress the metal key with Crackle paint and acrylic paint.
I perched a little birdie and supplied a close up photo so you could see the little darling. I hope you will join us for this weeks challenge and I look forward to seeing your creations.
Thank you for visiting me today.
Hugs Bonnie

Thank you so much for your prayers and warm thoughts to all the Norwegians. We are deeply shocked and our hearts bleed for all the families who were affected by this extreme act of violence. I can't find any inspiration for cardmaking at this moment, all my thoughts are with all the suffering people around our small country. We're all really thankful for all the sympathy all around the world...
Love,
Randi
Thanks for the nice gesture! I`m sure every norwegian that reads this in your blog appreciate it greatly. One of my friends neighbour was one of the ones shot at Utoya and he is currently fighting for his life at the hospital. And my boss` wife and son were only a few blocks away from the bomb when it blew. Her car lifted from the ground and the windows of the store she had parked outside of exploded. They were really lucky that survived. Norway is such a small country so many of us knows someone involved. I can`t believe what makes someone do something like this. He must have a fundamentally wrong connection up in his head! In such cases i really wish we had death penalties in Norway course that is really what he deserves. Or maybe we could send him over to one of the really hard core prisons over in the US, lol. Oh...enough rambling from me, lol. I just wanted to say that i absolutely loooove this creation of yours. Love all the layering and the beautiful colour combo. Beautiful colouring of the sweet Tilda too. Is it distress inks you have used?
Hugs...Mona
Thank you so much for your comment on my blog, and for writing this. Its so odd that life goes on, the happenings are so horrific and we still does not know everything. People are still missing, and several are badly hurt. These people need our prayers.
I`we been crying a lot, just because its sucn a shock and so incredible sad. And also I`m so touched to se how we all unite and greaf together with love for each other. How people comforts and helps random strangers on the street, hos normal sivilians shows themselfs as heroes, risking their lives rescuing the kids fleeing into the wather from the gunman, and how the whole world just cries with us, even when the responsible one is norwegian too.
That being said, I still have to praise your work. Your card is so stunning, you always amaze me with the incredible creativity that I`we never seen anywhere else, you always take me somewhere new.
Lots of love, Anne.
