You're Beautiful DYSU GDT card

Good morning everyone. I hope you're all having a wonderful and crafty week so far. It's been totally hot and humid here, totally yucky. So I've been in my scrappy air conditioned room working on a project for a very special person.

I am very proud and totally honored to have been chosen to be a guest designer for Do You Stack Up challenge blog. I was jumping up and down with joy when it was announced.

So for this weeks challenge at DYSU is a little birdie told me. I used this amazingly adorable image by Lili of The Valley. I just love these two little sweethearts. I colored them in using my Copic Markers and the gorgeous designer paper is by Black Market Paper Society called Lucky n' Love. My wonderful sweetie friend Rebekah from Berrylicious all the way from the UK gave it to me. Head on over to her blog and show her some love she is an amazing artist. The resin corner pieces as well as the beigh flower are by Recollections. The buttons I tore off an old shirt. The teal flowers are by WOC and that beautiful brown lace at the bottom I purchased on Ebay. I distressed all of the edges, inked it with Walnut stain and highlighted with Stickles.

I hope you will join us for this weeks challenge at DYSU, they are also holding a DT call.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day

Love of my Life CLP Challenge dt card

I am so sorry I am just noticing now how lop sided my photo is. I've been a little pre-occupied so I'm missing the little details.

It's mid month and time for the CLP sketch Challenge reminder. You still have until May 31 to enter.
For my card I chose to use this darling image by Lili of the Valley. OMG I love it so much again it reminds me of Sean my hubby and I in our younger days. Anyhoo I colored this sweet image in using Copic markers adding a little Diamond Stickles and Liquid Pearls. The paper is by Melissa Frances I think from the Thankful collection I'm not certain. The flowers are by Wild Orchids and a few from the dollar store. All of the lace is from my stash and the bling trim on the bottom was from an Etsy store. I made the banner out of chipboard and just added some coordinating paper.

Sweet Thing Lili's Little Fairies GDT card

Hello everyone. So sorry I've not been around in the last few weeks. I'm trying not to do as much coloring as usual because my eyes have been bothering me lately. It could be part straining from close work as well as allergy issues. So I do apologize for not being as active out in blog land.

This week we have a really great challenge at Lili's Little Fairies and the theme is use your favorite tool. I have a lot of favorites but the one I use the most is my Tim Holtz Distress tool. I love the look it creates not only on paper but chipboard and altering wood frames and such.

I used this darling image by Lili of the Valley called 'Emma's Presents', isn't she just darling? I colored her in using Copic Markers. I used lots of lace and ribbons from my stash and those adorable butterflies as well as flat back pearls. The flowers are by Recollections and the charms I believe are by Tim Holtz but I'm not certain. I distressed the edges of my paper and inked them with Vintage Photo and added Golden Rod Stickles.

I hope you will join us for this week challenge at Lili's Little Fairies and be sure to use your favorite tool.
Thanks for stopping in.

Lili of the Valley Sweet Summer Days

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Not much going on here as it was damp and rainy. Nonetheless I did get some crafting projects done and had some time to work on my craft room. It's really a wonderful feeling having it more organized and less clutter.

Today's card features a Lili of the Valley image that I colored in using Distress Inks. The lovely DP is by My Mind's Eye called Vanity Fair. All of the gorgeous flowers are by Wild Orchids crafts as well as the cheese cloth. I just received a big box of goodies that I ordered from them. OMG always soooo much fun getting happy mail. The seam binding ribbon I hand dyed. And I added some pearl trim on the bottom which I used my Picket Fence dauber on and sealed it with some Rock Candy crackle.

Thanks so much friends for stopping in today.

Positively Pampered

Good morning every one. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We celebrated St. Patrick's day hosting a dinner for our bestest buddies Sharlene and Rich and Karen and Nathan. Sean my wonderful hubby cooked the most fabulous corned beef and cabbage dinner, totally yummy.

Today's card features this absolutely darling image by Lili of the Valley called Positively Pampered. I colored her in using my Copic markers. The designer papers are by K&Co called Julianne and wow such a beautiful paper pack. The small roses are by Wild Orchids. I hand created the larger blue twisted flower as well as the white organza. I had a lot of fun making them. Below I have a close up of the blue one. The beautiful lace ribbon I used to make it was from my stash it's the same ribbon that's placed length wise across the card. The yellow porcelain flower is also from my stash. The adorable butterfly is from my girl Rebeka, thank you Rebekah. The sentiment I printed out from my computer and used a Melissa Frances which I embellished with roses and small pearls. Notice the cute little Eiffel Tower charm hanging from the tag? And the other hanging bead charm is from a Tim Holtz collection.

Thank you for visiting me today. I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Lili of the Valley Tea for Two

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is going well thus far. Yesterday Jenn and I took the grand kids to see The Lorax and it was so cute it had all the kids giggling even the adults. Then I did a little shopping at Michael's Crafts something I haven't done in more than a month. OMG I KNOW!!!!

Today I have another Lili of the Valley card to share with you. I colored these little darlings in using Distress ink. It's not quite what I envisioned it to look like when I tried mixing different colors together inks together. I am pleased with the little girl on the right but not so much with the other she doesn't seem to flow as nicely I think because of her blue skirt. I was going for the jean skirt look. The colors I used together on the other little girl with the hat were Worn Lipstick and Scattered Straw. I wanted to create a more peach look and I thought those colors mixed well together. Another beautiful recipe is Worn Lipstick and Wild Honey which makes an even softer peach. Anyway the gorgeous papers are by Basic Grey called Picadilly given to me for my Birthday from one of my besties. Thanks sweetie!! The large flowers are by Prima and was given to me by another one of my besties. Thank you Rebekah! The smaller flowers are all WOC and the larger lace and the pearl lace are from my stash. The beautiful sentiment is by Lili of the Valley. I added a coordinated handmade stick pin to the floral bouquet.

Thank you so much for visiting and also your lovely comments regarding Buddy.
Have a sparkling day.

Happy Thoughts! Papertake weekly GDT

Good Morning everyone. I'm home!!!! Vacation was awesome. We were very very fortunate to have been in a place that had snow. Oh it was just like a winter wonderland. Lake Placid NY is absolutely gorgeous. We were able to go snowmobile and tubing, Sean and Richard went skiing on the beautiful White Face Mountain while Sharlene and I stayed safely in the lodge. They also went skating on Mirror Lake which is another sport I could never do so I wandered around on the ice with my hockey stick while Sean shot pucks at me. Hmmm?? Was that even safe? I did take a tumble trying to be cool hitting the hockey puck back to him like I knew what I was doing. haha We walked the quaint little town poking around in the shops, visited this huge ice castle and saw the Olympic High Jump. We were not able to do the luge or bobsled ride as the compound was occupied with athletes training for the winter Olympics. Lake Place was home of the winter Olympic Games held in 1932 and again in 1980. It was an amazing feeling being where such an event was held.
Although we had a fabulous time, It feels good to be home with my fur baby I missed Buddy so much.
I was able to get some practice in using my Distress Inks and was only happy with 3 of the images that I inked up. Seven of them I failed miserably. Needless to say I have SOOOOO much respect for those of you who color so beautifully with them.
I also had issues with some of my DT and GDT cards that were not posted. So sorry for that I always have problems with the scheduled posting option. Fortunately some did post, you win some you loose some.
Breaking Dawn part 1 also came out last week. Did everyone pick up their copy and watch it 3 times like I did??? heehee
Ok anyway enough of blah blahing.
This weeks theme at Papertake Weekly challenge is Get Krafty which of course means use Kraft cardstock somewhere on your creation.
My card features an adorable image by Lili of the Valley called Emma with pot plant. I colored her using Distress inks. I distress all of the edges with the Tim Holts distress tool, inked the edges with Vintage Photo and added gold Stickles. The beautiful sentiment is by Darcies and the decorative card stock is by DCWV called The Pretty Princess stack. I used lots of flowers by Wild Orchids and added a handmade stick pin and a metal butterfly charm.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Hustles and Bustles of the holiday Season

Good morning my lovelies. Boy has it been raining likes cats and dogs for two days now. Today I waited all day for the rain to let up so I could go out and get some shopping done and have my hair trimmed. But Noooo it never did so I went out anyway. I didn't look adorable when i got home with my new hair do, I looked like a drown rat. Good grief! The upside was the mall was empty, seems I was one of the crazy ones that ventured out. I got my hair done and purchased a few gifts so I'm happy.

So anyhoo today's card features an adorable image by Lili of the Valley which I colored in using Distress inks. It's been a while since I've used them so I'm still trying to get the hang of it again. The gorgeous paper is by Magnolia and oh oh do you see my new snowflake die that I just bought from Die's to die for? OMG isn't it so cute!!! I saw it on Bev's blog and knew I had to get one too. Also notice the adorable little birdie perched in among the flowers? I just love these little birdies which I buy at Michael's. The Merry Christmas sentiment is by K&Co.

Good Morning my friends. Can you believe it's almost Thanksgiving? I have to say this year that I am most thankful for my new doggie Buddy. OMG he has brought me so much joy and laughter. sigh..

Today's card features an adorable image by Lili of the Valley that I have been dying to ink up. I used my Copic markers to color it in although I messed up and colored a little bit outside the lines I'm happy how it turned out. The pretty paper is by Daisy D that I've had FOREVER, hanging head in shame.
I used Martha Stewart and Magnolia die's and punches. The beautiful sentiment is by Lili of the Valley. I tucked two handmade stick pins and also added a cute little Santa bauble that I also made.

For those of you that celebrate Thanksgiving please have a beautiful day be safe and eat like a pig!
